Traditional Style Recipe with us . Himachal Dish "Patroda" India
It's very traditional style recipe derived from Himachal Pradesh India , prepared in village cooking .
Lets discuss about it in detail .
Ingredients we used for it .
1. Colocasia Leaves(Arbi ke patte)
2. Babri herbs (Ocimum)
3.Salt.
4. Chili .
5.Cornflour
6. Turmeric Powder
7. Jeera or Cumin seeds.
8. Mustard Oil.
9. Turmeric plant leaves (optional) or Any kind of thread.
We going to talk about the most famous recipe from Himachal village which is part of India .This recipe called "Himachali Patrode".
Its very special recipe and very famous traditional style recipe in Himachal Pradesh.This recipe specially made by Colocasia leaves which is called in hindi Arbi levaes as well .
This is Babri plant we usually used for preparing Batter for this recipe.
Here below are Colocasia leaves or Arbi leaves , used to prepare this Dish.
Traditional Style to Grind the ingredients Manually , this traditional method still people used in village . its very special type mortar & pestle or "kundi Danda".
This mortar & pestle used in village cooking it is play very vital and important role in cooking , to grind the things or preparing Sauce or chuteny and many things .
Here we can see how Tradtionally we placing the Batter on the leaves to prepare the "Patroda" Dish .
Here we can see the final shape of this dish " Himachali Patroda " its shows below raw Patrodas which were ready for steaming . we usually steamed it .
This is the look it give you after steamed it with the cooker . its very delicious recipe . i must say you should try
Later cut it into the pieces you can fry in the oil and Dish looks like below as shown. usually we fry 1-2 round shaped "Patroda" only or upto people how many they want to fry and rest of steamed we usually keep it in fridge and next day agin Simply Fry and have it .
Its very delicous , tasty and unique dish .
